Another wonderful week at Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Baja California, Mexico. Nature, exercise, healthy food - all in a most unexpectedly gorgeous setting. Who knew a 5:45am alarm on vacation is actually OK? Schedule: brisk hike before a yummy breakfast, then an hour of circuit training, followed by a stretch class and TRX class. With all the 'heavy lifting' done before lunch (also yummy) we take the afternoon off with perhaps a massage, and definitely a few hours on our private patio chaise lounge with a good book. Lots of choices for learning and being entertained throughout the day and evening. Truly a vacation for the soul.Click for more pictures >
Wonderful evening with my son Austin and his beautiful, vivacious and accomplished friend, Colleen. We had dinner at The Dock in Newport Beach the perfect spot for great food and conversation. On the water - of course.
Hiking with my GFs to Lower Table Rock on a perfect spring day. Sun, wildflowers, killer views (check out Mt. McLaughlin's snow capped peak way out there).Click for more pictures >
The surf was mostly too rough to swim in due to the steep drop off. But with the view, the pool and all it had to offer, we didn't miss a dip in the deep.Click for more pictures >
This restaurant is amazing! We walked there from our hotel over a deserted dirt road. The hotel concierge didn't know this 'secret' way but we found it on our map program and decided to try it. The organic gardens at Flora's are beautiful and bountiful. It's gotten so famous you need reservations far in advance. The food and drinks were imaginative and delicious.Click for more pictures >
