Fear conquered!
After a 2 year hiatus, we finally got ourselves out on the downhill slopes. The first couple of runs were kinda scary but after that it was 'like riding a bike.' We were a little disappointed that 70+ year olds don't ski free at Mt. Shasta mountain, but the rates are about half of bigger ski areas. Great snow, sunny day - what's not to like?

Pristine snow, sunny skies - snowshoe heaven. Except for a few blisters, and all uphill after lunch, it was a great day.
Sister (and brother) therapy for Trumpian dismay/depression
The day after the 45th president of the US was sworn in, Ron and I and 8,000+ others gathered in Ashland to stand against the Trump agenda. That day gave us a way to 'voice' our commitment for an inclusive America with liberty and justice for all.

Oh Boy! Now we have to learn how to drive this high tech beauty!
Escape to Maui
While snow and freezing temperatures are assaulting Ashland, we are enjoying the tropical weather and balmy skies in Maui. We didn't realize our trip would be so well timed. I guessed we just lucked out. The magnificent sunset above greeted us on our first night here and so far, we've had the same beautiful every night.
