#7 Twenty years later . . .

It's been twenty years since Ron and I were in Whistler - to ski. There have been a lot of changes to this beautiful place in that time, but thankfully, they seem to have made the place even better. We took the Peak 2 Peak Gondola which connects Whistler mountain to Blackcomb. Amazing ride and view! Built in '07-'08 it was great to see the mountains in summer and all the ways people enjoy them in this season: mountain bikes hiking, glacier access both on foot and by jeep and helicopter. The picture above is at the top of Blackcomb.

The sundeck at the top of the Whistler gondola. We were amazed to see two additional lifts going even higher.

On the Peak 2 Peak gondola, I took this picture of the car going in the opposite direction. This gondola is the highest and longest in the world.

We watched this helicopter land and take-off.

There were beautiful summer flowers everywhere. The gardens at our hotel and nearby facilities were amazing.
