The view from the deck at our Inn in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia
We’ve had a leisurely day, not having to pack up for our next location since we have another night in Lunenburg. After touring the Fisheries Museum, complete with aquarium. Suffice it to say, coming from San Diego, it ain’t Scripps Birch Acquarium. Then on to Mahone Bay, just a 15 minute drive from Lunenburg, for their annual Scarecrow Festival - at least 100 different scarecrows - and lots of people looking at them!

This cottage was in the botanical garden.
Annapolis Royal - the perfect little village. Lots of history, picturesque, and not loaded with tourists. The breakfast at Hillsdale House was excellent and prevented us from sampling all the amazing goodies at the Saturday Farmer’s Market we were lucky enough to be in town for. After a stroll through the botanical garden we beelined across the province (only 2.5 hours) and made it to Lunenburg by mid afternoon. Lots of tourists here. We’ll spend two nights, so tomorrow - day tripping to some other little towns.
