#6 Tofino to Nanaimo
We dragged our heels getting out of The Wickininnish Inn - the foggy view from the beach was hard to leave. (Those crows are art). Got into Nanaimo in mid afternoon and walked across the street to the boardwalk along the harbor.
#5 A really 'TUFF' day
TUFF is the nickname for Tofino - gotten many years ago because it was really tuff to get here (only boat access in the old days) and the life was rough - fishing and logging. We had our own version of TUFF - up and on the Wild Pacific Trail by 10am out of Ucluelet. After 7 miles we had a great food truck lunch at The RavenLady. Then returning to the hotel, borrowed some bikes and rode 5 miles into Tofino to have a look at the 'air' port. Since this is our last night here, the beach called us for an evening stroll on the sand. What a great day.

We toured the Botanical Garden and took a footpath through the old grove forest to this beautiful view. (More pics of the Garden on the next page). Then after lunch in Tofino, we drove to Ucluelet, stopping at beaches along the way.

Took the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria on a beautiful, sunny day. Buzzed right through town and headed north toward Tofino.
